Immanent Critique
On this page we will try to identify and critique pervasive but largely unexamined premises of our own worldview (both as individuals and in our broader dominant culture). The idea is first to develop a list of things that seem (to us) to be self evident -- don't worry initially about apparently conflicting statements (although you may want to raise questions or seek clarification about what a particular statement means). As we develop these lists, we will begin to delve deeper into the origins and consequences of our beliefs. Ultimately, our goal will be to develop methods and strategies that at once embraces and transcends the diversity of our beliefs and aspirations. This is a tall task, in a rather unfamiliar environment -- Sapere audere!
